Episcopal Insights

I have encountered some Episcopal clergy who are  also writing about church transitions and closure in a couple different venues: on Facebook at “Congregational Seasons”, and at a website of the Episcopal Church Foundation called “Vital Practices for Leading Congregations“.  Both these sources are worth checking out.  See especially the writing of Rector Joe Duggan, who focuses on church vitality and has experience with church closure.

Here’s a story by Rev. Thea Keith-Lucas from the Congregational Seasons blog about how her church entered into a merger dialog with two other churches and how that conversation has progressed so far.  Take note of the red, yellow and green card strategy for discernment!

Thanks, Rev. Duggan, for this insightful collection of writing!
